THE WILFUL  JAN 13 2012

The juxtaposition of "The Wilful' is that while they take their craft seriously, they do not appear to do so. Firm believers in the notion that they must first entertain, they deliver quirky performances with authority and with tongues firmly lodged in cheek!

They enjoy fevered reactions from audiences within the four corners of Ireland to frantic sets which range in diversity to cleverly weaved rock versions of ABBA and Spice Girls songs to Tenacious D and AC/DC classics.

The sense of fun which The Wilful trade with their audiences, coupled with a quality live sound and great light show has helped them build relationships with punters nationwide, and has served as a reassurance to the band that prioritising slightly eccentric entertainment mixed with serious craft, and a desire to be that little bit different, is a route that has and will yield many rewards.

TOM PORTMAN JAN 20th. 2012

Multi-instrumentalist, performer, composer and songwriter Tom Portman is based in the west of Ireland. Playing acoustic & electric guitar, Dobro & lap steel, Tom presents a wide repertoire. His compositions draw on many global styles yet have a distinct flavour of their own. January 2011 saw the launch of Tom's 2nd solo album, "At One' with a sell out show in Galway's Town Hall Theatre. This self produced collection features instrumental compositions, songs and arrangements of traditional Irish tunes for fingerstyle guitar and Dobro.                                                                                                                        In addition to live and studio session work, Portman teaches music in Galway through the GTI and "Maoin Ceol' School of Music. He regularly performs around Ireland from small venues to festivals such as the Electric Picnic and the DLR Festival of world cultures. Internationally, Tom has toured in Poland where he played the Suwalki Blues festival. 2010 Hotpress Tiger Untamed winners

Kildare fourpiece Seven Days have been building a following around Ireland for the past year with shows that have to be witnessed to be believed. A huge sound and impeccable musicianship make Seven Days a truly exciting live act .

After playing to a crowd of over 3000 people at Oxegen 2009 (New bands stage), the band embarked on a series of support slots performing alongside The Republic of Loose, The Coronas,The Blizzards and Aslan. 2010 saw the band play a constant schedule of headlining gigs throughout Ireland. They beat stiff competition from Irelands best unsigned acts to win the Hotpress Tiger Untamed competition, the final being held at Annebrooke House Hotel in Mullingar.

2010 also saw the band travel to Modern World Studios in the UK to record with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manic Street Preachers/Super Furry Animals). “Outside” the first single from this recording session was released in June 2010 and charted in the Irish top 40 for two consecutive weeks.

Seven Days are due to release their eagerly awaited follow up single to 2010s "Outside" in summer 2011. This year will see Seven Days tour the UK, Germany and also a embark on nationwide Irish tour to support their EP "All Falls Down."

Big Whiskey's live set vibrates under your skin, leaving a taste in your mouth that makes you beg for more...   Upfront leading the three piece is fiery "macka" Sean Mccarthy belting out the charts hits while blowing you away with his fantastic finger frenzy of pure genius on his Les Paul Guitar. The engine room of this dynamic three piece is "Eddie" the hound delaney on d...rums who plays intensely leaving blood sweat and tears in his wake! His technical skills have no end, this double kicking rhythm machine has the crowd dancing to his every beat. On Bass Guitar is Duane "tick tock" Gallagher who maybe late to arrive, but never late to deliver & get down with his dirty funky bass lines coupled with his wide ranging sweet vocals and snake charmer like ability to get the crowd grooving.

Big Whiskey is tight three piece band hailing from Sligo, All three members have toured the country with other respected bands, and have now joined forces as one super band bringing all their respective musical tastes and talent together in the form of Big Whiskey, there will be no small ones had when Big Whiskey is in town.
